About
One place for what you need and what you have
Tukalos is built around two questions: What do I need? and What do I have? It's for everyday things you need soon, and for the things you own that someone nearby could use.
Tukalos is starting small. It's open now for neighbours near Markham Road and Ellesmere Road in Scarborough, and some features on this page are still planned and may change.
- Post what you needSay what it is, when you need it, your budget, and how far you'll go.

- See requests from people close to your shop.
- Respond with items you have in stock.
- List available stock so people can find it without posting first.
- Use a business profile, so customers know they're dealing with a local shop.
Give something away, save on your next purchase
Under the planned rewards programme, when you give an item away for free on Tukalos, you'll earn a service-fee waiver you can use on a future purchase.
- 1List an item for free under “What do I have?”
- 2Hand it over to someone nearby who needs it.
- 3Earn a service-fee waiver toward something you buy later.
How waivers are earned and used, and when the programme starts, will be announced before it begins.
Safety
Planned from the start
These safety features are part of the plan for Tukalos. They are being designed now and are not live yet.

- ReviewsAfter an exchange, people will be able to leave a review.
- Reporting and blockingYou'll be able to report someone or block them from contacting you.
- Payments in the appPaid items are planned to be paid inside Tukalos. Any fees will be shown before you confirm.
